Beschrijving
Chickweed or Stellaria media, is one of those inconspicuous field herbs particularly prized in folk medicine for its cooling, soothing and purifying effects. Growing spontaneously in gardens and fields, it contains a wealth of nutrients such as vitamin C, iron, potassium and saponins. Traditionally, chickweed is used for skin irritations, digestive complaints and to support the urinary tract. It is a popular herb in spring cures, applied both internally and externally.
The chickweed we offer grows wild, in its natural habitat. Its wild growth gives it an intense character and a particularly rich taste and aroma.

Sustainable packaging
Our herbs are packaged in resealable pouches that protect against light, air, and moisture, helping to preserve their aroma, quality, and properties as well as possible. The pouches are made of paper with a compostable protective layer and are industrially compostable. In many municipalities, they can be disposed of with organic waste. Home composting is also possible, although it may take a bit longer (about 1–2 years). More information about our packaging choice.
Attention for a moment
Although chickweed is a very mild herb, it is recommended to seek medical advice first in pregnancy and lactation. Do not use with known allergy to cruciferous plants.
