Beschrijving

Our ground cinnamon is of the Ceylon (Cinnamomum verum) type, known for its soft, mild flavor that is more refined than the sharper and stronger Cassia cinnamon. Ceylon cinnamon is considered the "real" cinnamon and is loved for its subtle and pleasant aroma, making it a perfect choice for both culinary and medicinal applications.

Health Benefits of Cinnamon Bio

(This summary was prepared in line with the Nutrition and Health Claims Act)
  • Regulates blood sugar: Cinnamon supports balanced blood sugar, which can help with diabetes.
  • Cholesterol lowering: Regular use of cinnamon can help lower bad cholesterol (LDL).
  • Appetite stimulant: Ideal for stimulating appetite and promoting digestion.

  • Hot drinks such as chai tea, coffee and hot chocolate.
  • Fruit dishes, especially when paired with apples, pears and other seasonal fruits.
  • Savory dishes such as stews, curries and meat dishes, where the subtle notes of the spice go well with other spices.

Sustainable packaging

Our herbs are packaged in resealable pouches that protect against light, air, and moisture, helping to preserve their aroma, quality, and properties as well as possible. The pouches are made of paper with a compostable protective layer and are industrially compostable. In many municipalities, they can be disposed of with organic waste. Home composting is also possible, although it may take a bit longer (about 1–2 years). More information about our packaging choice.
