Beschrijving

Speculaas spices to bake your own delicious speculaas cookies. Ingredients: Cinnamon*, Mace*, Nutmeg*, Clove*, Cardamom*, Anise*, Coriander* 100% pure spices, without salt, without additives. *From organic farming Recipe for the tastiest speculoos cookies ingredients:
  • 600 grams of flour
  • 225 grams of honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 g butter
  • 65 grams of white sugar
  • 60 grams of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened, pure cocoa powder (possibly grind your own cocoa pods from our shop)
  • 1/2 bag (5 grams) of baking powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • 3 to 4 teaspoons of specula spice
  1. In a sauce pan over medium heat, heat the butter and honey until the butter is completely melted.
  2. In a large bowl, mix well the flour with the sugar, baking powder and spices.
  3. Make a dimple in which you put the egg and stir some, make a larger dimple for the butter-honey mixture and mix everything well until you have a homogeneous cookie dough in which you can no longer see any white residue of flour.
  4. If you don't have cookie cutters, roll the dough into a sausage - as thick as you want the cookies to be wide - and wrap in plastic wrap
  5. Let the dough rest overnight, unless you can roll out the dough now and can't wait any longer
  6. Preheat over to 180 °C.
  7. Flour a work surface and a wooden rolling pin (or a silicone roller, which doesn't stick without flour) and roll out the cookie dough to 1 cm thickness. Cut into large rings, or if you don't have cut-outs, take a small ball of dough and roll it out or flatten it to 1 cm thickness. Or you cut slices from the rolled up sausage had you had the dough rested in a sausage.
  8. Bake the cookies at the bottom of the oven on a baking sheet covered with baking paper for 15 to 20 minutes (depending on thickness and desired firmness). Let your speculoos cookies cool on a wire rack and store in an airtight box.

The pouches are made of paper with a compostable protective layer and are industrially compostable. In many municipalities, they can be disposed of with organic waste.
