Juniper or Juniperus communis has made a name for itself with us in recent years mainly as a botanical or flavoring in various gin preparations. In addition, however, Juniper has a number of interesting properties to benefit our health. The juniper we offer grows wild, in its natural habitat. Its wild growth gives it an intense character and a particularly rich taste and aroma.

Preparation Organic Juniper berries tea 

Making a tea (or infusion) is an ideal way to benefit from the beneficial effects of organic juniper. So you can easily prepare a cup of healthy gin best tea organic:
  • Crush about 15 juniper berries to facilitate the release of the ingredients.
  • Flood these with hot water (not boiling water !).
  • Allow to infuse for 10 minutes.
  • Remove the berries.
  • Use a maximum of 3 cups per day.
 

Combinations with Juniper Berries

Culinary Uses of Juniper

Gastronomically, Juniper berries are highly valued; in fact, they increase the digestibility of food. One uses them culinary mainly with cold meat dishes, smoked ham, liver pate, pork, sausage, with game, veal and stew, with sauerkraut, pickled herring and some fish dishes, with food pickled in vinegar, sweet and sour pickling dishes, marinades, sauces and compotes.
