Cajun spice mix organic - 45 gr

Our Cajun Spice Mix Organic is a traditional seasoning native to Louisiana in the deep south of the US. The spicy authentic blend was formulated to enhance the flavor of the local "Holy Trinity" of celery, red peppers and onion. These three are used as a base in many Cajun recipes with additional spices found in our Cajun spice mix. Ingredients: Paprika*, Garlic*, Tarragon*, Onion*, Cayenne pepper*, Black Pepper*, Oregano*, Thyme*. Cajun cuisine originated in the state of Louisiana in America. These French-speaking residents of Louisiana had emigrated to Canada from France. In the 17th century they were driven out by the English and, after years of wandering, ended up in southern Louisiana. They called themselves "acadiens. Later this was bastardized to "cajuns. The style of cooking is rustic and hearty. True Cajun cooks make great use of game, vegetables, seafood, herbs and spices easily obtained from the swamps, lakes, rivers and forests in the immediate area. Sustainable packaging

Our herbs are packaged in resealable pouches that protect against light, air, and moisture, helping to preserve their aroma, quality, and properties as well as possible. The pouches are made of paper with a compostable protective layer and are industrially compostable. In many municipalities, they can be disposed of with organic waste.
