Marigold, also known as Calendula, is a popular plant belonging to the family Asteraceae. Marigolds have bright yellow to orange flowers and are often grown in gardens because of their vibrant color and easy cultivation. The most common species is Calendula officinalis. Marigold or Calendula is at the top of the list of herbs used for skin problems and care. Marigold or Calendula is also a favorite ingredient in many types of herbal teas and mainly for its beautiful color.

Preparation Organic Marigold tea 

Making a tea (or infusion) is an ideal way to benefit from the beneficial effects of organic marigold.
So you can easily prepare a cup of healthy marigold tea organic:

• Use 1-2 tablespoons per cup.
• Bring water to a boil, and let it cool briefly before pouring it on.
• Allow to infuse for 10 minutes.

Combinations with Marigold

For digestive problems, it goes well with Marshmallow Root and Robertswort (also spotted Stork Beak). As an antiseptic, it can be used along with Canadian Yellowroot and Myrrh.

Culinary Uses of Marigold

The flowers have a yellow/orange pigment and can be used as coloring in dishes and foods, such as cheese and butter.

Often used as a substitute for the very expensive saffron.

In addition, we have been using the golden yellow petals as a substitute for Cornflower when it is not (organic) available.

Sustainable packaging

Our herbs are packaged in resealable pouches that protect against light, air, and moisture, helping to preserve their aroma, quality, and properties as well as possible. The pouches are made of paper with a compostable protective layer and are industrially compostable. In many municipalities, they can be disposed of with organic waste.
