Wild Thyme Hydrosol is obtained by steam distillation of Thymus serpyllum, a low-growing, aromatic plant that has been valued since ancient times for its purifying and strengthening properties. This hydrosol is suitable for both internal and external use and is traditionally used when support for the respiratory system, cleansing and renewed vitality is desired, especially during seasonal transitions.

This hydrosol comes from L’Âme des Simples, a small-scale organic herb farm located in the Drôme Valley (France).
The wild thyme is hand-harvested at full bloom and then traditionally distilled in a copper alembic heated over a wood fire. The slow distillation process (approximately four hours for 25 litres) allows for a gentle yet profound extraction of the aromatic compounds, while respecting the plant’s natural balance and vitality. As a result, the warm, herbal and slightly earthy character of wild thyme is optimally preserved in the hydrosol.

Uses

Internal use (as a course):

• Traditionally used to support breathing
• Suitable in cases of a feeling of congestion or discomfort during colder periods
• Dosage: 1 tablespoon per day, diluted in 400–500 ml of water, to be sipped slowly
• Can be combined with Scots pine or hyssop hydrosols

External use:

• Facial care: as a purifying spray for impure or tired skin
• Mouth rinse: for a stressed oral environment
• Steam inhalation or compress: for a sensation of openness and ease of breathing

These hydrosols are 100% pure and natural and contain no alcohol, preservatives or synthetic additives.
A slight sediment or natural cloudiness may occur and is normal, reflecting an artisanal production process without filtration. This does not affect the quality of the product.
