Beschrijving
Juniper Berry Hydrosol is obtained by steam distillation of the ripe berries of Juniperus communis, an aromatic shrub that has been known for centuries for its purifying and stimulating properties. The hydrosol has a fresh, spicy-resinous scent with light citrus notes, and is used both internally and externally.
This hydrosol comes from L’Âme des Simples, a small organic herb farm in the Drôme Valley (France). The berries are hand-harvested and then slowly distilled over a wood fire in a copper still. Thanks to this traditional method — a distillation time of about four hours for 25 litres of hydrosol — the fragrance, active compounds, and vitality of the plant are optimally preserved.
