Scots Pine Hydrosol Organic – 250 ml

Scots Pine Hydrosol is obtained by steam distillation of the needles and young twigs of Pinus sylvestris, a robust tree that has been valued for centuries for its purifying, refreshing and respiration-supporting qualities. This hydrosol is suitable for both internal and external use and is traditionally used when clarity, vitality and a sense of openness are desired, both physically and mentally.

This hydrosol comes from L’Âme des Simples, a small-scale organic herb farm located in the Drôme Valley (France).
The Scots pine is harvested with respect for the forest ecosystem and then traditionally distilled in a copper alembic heated over a wood fire. The slow distillation process (approximately four hours for 25 litres) allows for a gentle extraction of the aromatic compounds without exhausting the plant. In this way, the fresh, resinous vitality of Scots pine is optimally preserved in the final product.

Uses

Internal use (as a course):

• Traditionally used to support respiration
• Suitable during cold periods or when experiencing a feeling of congestion
• Dosage: 1 tablespoon per day, diluted in 400–500 ml of water, to be sipped slowly
• Can be combined with thyme or bay laurel hydrosols for additional support

External use:

• Facial and body care: as a refreshing and purifying spray
• Steam inhalation or compress: for a sensation of openness and ease of breathing
• Massage or rub: as a tonic for tired muscles or after physical exertion

These hydrosols are 100% pure and natural and contain no alcohol, preservatives or synthetic additives.
A slight sediment or natural cloudiness may occur and is normal, reflecting an artisanal production process without filtration. This does not affect the quality of the product.
