Description

Thyme Thymol Hydrosol  is obtained through steam distillation of the leaves and flowering tops of a classic thyme variety rich in the active compound thymol. This chemotype is known for its deeply purifying effect and is traditionally used during times of increased strain or in the winter months.

This hydrosol comes from L’Âme des Simples, a small-scale organic herb farm located in the Drôme Valley (France). The plants are harvested by hand and slowly distilled over a wood fire in a traditional copper still. This artisanal process — about four hours of distillation for 25 liters — makes all the difference: the fragrance, potency, and vital energy of the plant are optimally preserved.
