Burdock, Arctium lappa or burdock root has large heart-shaped leaves and produces purple flowers in spring and fall. The aerial part is not used directly in phytotherapy. It is mainly the contents of the root that have beneficial effects on our health. Burdock is mainly used for skin and hair, digestion and circulation.

Preparing burdock root tea organic

Making a tea (or infusion) is an ideal way to benefit from the beneficial effects of organic burdock root.
How to easily prepare a cup of healthy burdock root tea organic:

• Pour 4 cups of water into a saucepan and bring to a boil.
• Once the water boils, add 1-2 tablespoons of dried burdock root to the pan.
• Stir it for a moment and turn the heat down low.
• Simmer the burdock root over low heat for about 10-15 minutes. This helps release the nutrients and flavor of the burdock root into the water.
• Carefully pour the burdock root tea through a strainer to remove the solid bits of burdock root. You can then pour the tea into a cup.
• To taste, you can add some honey or lemon juice to make the tea sweeter or fresher.
