Description
Calendula Hydrosol is obtained by steam distillation of the petals of Calendula officinalis. Its gentle, spicy-floral aroma and mild composition make this hydrosol particularly popular for the care of sensitive or irritated skin.
This hydrosol comes from L’Âme des Simples, a small organic herb farm in the Drôme Valley (France). The calendula flowers are harvested by hand and slowly distilled over a wood fire in a copper still. This traditional distillation method (about four hours for 25 litres) ensures that the plant’s fragrance, colour intensity, and valuable components are optimally preserved.
